A special Wedding day at Wollaton Hall, Nottinghamshire | Wedding Videography
Back in June this year, we had the pleasure of capturing Chris and Ashley’s very special day at Wollaton Hall.
Chris and Ashley’s families had traveled over from California to the UK for the celebrations, and they certainly brought the California sun with them!
We hadn’t filmed at Wollaton before, we had only seen it on our screens many years ago as Wayne Manor in the Christopher Nolan Batman films. Luckily there was no crime to fight on this day and we were able to stick to filming!
Wollaton is one of those very special venues where every corner is another photo opportunity, when there is only so much time on a wedding day, we make sure that we select some of the best locations as well as capturing plenty of moments on the fly.
It was great to work with our friend Chris Bunce who captured photography on the day, it’s always great to bounce ideas for locations of each other when it comes to the couple shoot part of the day.
One of my favourite moments of this day was when the salsa music came on in the evening, as if the party wasn’t going enough, the salsa music took the party from a 10 to an 11! I now expect spontaneous, uber smooth and precise salsa moves from all wedding guests from now on. It looks fantastic in slo mo.
Another special part of this day was the ceremony which was conducted by Susan Denton! She did a fabulous job of re-telling the story of how Ashley and Chris came to this day, the couple also had a chance to read some more personal vows, always a beautiful thing to do on your day.
The day was perfect overall, and when you’re in Nottingham with sun from California, I don’t think you’re allowed to complain at all about the heat! Lovely couple, lovely weather and lovely guests. Thank you for having us Chris and Ashley, you were incredible!
